Pristine environment
The philosophy while landscaping SEEPZ was to have mother nature live in harmony with industrial manufacturing and technology. The result- SEEPZ offers the people who work there wide open boulevards, lush greenery, an array of flowering plants and even a perennial lake.

The choice of inexpensive factory space or land
A Company may lease one or more plots for a period of 30 years, at Rs.10/- per sq. metre per annum. The SEEPZ administration will render any help needed to secure permissions and clearances for setting up Units in the Zone.
Optionally preconstructed Standard Design Factories (SDFs) are available in areas of 500 sq.metres on a 5-year renewable lease basis, at the rate of Rs. 1060/- per sq.metre per annum, Plus Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) taxes as per the yearly assessment of BMC Land Service Charges. All internal partitions, airconditioning, electrical wiring, etc. are to be carried out by the entrepreneur.Revision of Rents will be Revised once in three years
For SDF sheds, the concession in lease rent is to the extent of 50% for the first year, 40% for the second year and 25% for the third year provided the production has commenced in the first year of taking possesion of the alloted Premises.

Private Bonded Warehouses
Private Bounded Warehouses can be set up in the Zone for the purpose of import, stock and sale of goods and for trading, including re-export after re-packing and labelling. Of particular interest is the fact that precious and semi-precious stones can also be traded through these warehouses.

Uninterrupted power
As SEEPZ is statutorily exempt from power cuts, uninterrupted power supply is guaranteed from the generating stations of Western Maharashtra.
The average charges for power are approximately Rs. 6.90 per unit (effective from 1.3.1997)
The Government of Maharashtra reimburses duty on electricity consumed by SEEPZ Units in connection with export production activity.

Abundant Water
The Zone has an assured supply of 4.55 mil. litres of water a day, which is charged at the rate of Rs. 41/- per 1000 litres effective from 1.4.2000.

Hi-tech communication facilities
The most Important advantage that brings Software Enterprise to SEEPZSEZ is the hi-Tech "Secured Lease Lines" Line,that enables these Companies Communicate and Video Conference over Satellite to any of the Offshore Sites, or branches around the World
The Zone is serviced by a separate Optical Fibre Telephone Exchange,which cateres exclusively to the needs of Zone Units.

Adequate warehousing and forwarding services.
Apart from a large warehousing facility which can be used for storing at nominal rates, clearing and forwarding amenities are also available.

In-Zone customs clearance
The Zone has its own ports of entry with a fully staffed customs wing and simplified procedures, to ensure speedy clearance of incoming and outgoing consignments. Hence there is no need for the same to be carried out either at the airport or the docks.

Miscellaneous facilities
Other facilities of the Zone include a foreign post office, four banks, a Communications Centre,an exclusive Telephone Exchange, 3 ATM centers,industrial canteens, an executive restaurant and a crèche for working women's children.
